Through orthodontics, I am given a chance to change someone’s life, not only by creating a beautiful smile, but enhancing their health and confidence as well. These past ten years have been more rewarding than I could ever have imagined. Building this practice upon the principles of honesty and excellence in care has been my pride and joy.
I have truly come to appreciate my work as a learning experience and a life journey. I learn new things from my patients and their families every day. I’m grateful to have such wonderful patients who trust me to care for their families, and I enjoy making my patients feel as though they are part of the Durrett Orthodontics family.
Since 2004, I have been practicing orthodontics in a private office setting. I have also been a member of the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital craniofacial team since 2005, allowing me to provide pediatric patients in need with a multi-disciplinary approach to treating craniofacial anomalies including cleft lips, cleft palates and more irregularities. I’m one the few orthodontists in the Tampa Bay area to have experience working with a craniofacial team, which enables me to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care for patients with craniofacial abnormalities. I regularly attend continuing education courses that enable me to stay at the forefront of my specialty and prepared to provide the highest standard of orthodontic care. My patients deserve nothing less!
I am originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, and moved to Tampa with my husband Tony in 2008. We have two beautiful young girls, Ava and Mia. I am passionate about being a mother who is extremely involved with her family and friends. My husband and my girls mean the world to me.
Outside of orthodontics, I enjoy running, traveling, cheering for Gator Football, and spending time with my loved ones.
I have such wonderful support from my community, and I feel it’s important to give back to them. Since 2006, I have sponsored the annual Great West Chase 5k Race to benefit local schools, and am a business-partner sponsor for several local schools, including Westchase Elementary, Deer Park Elementary, Mary Bryant Elementary, and Farnell Middle School.
I also volunteer for the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital craniofacial team to recommend orthodontic care for children born with craniofacial abnormalities, such as cleft lip and palate. These patients have very complex needs that require the attention of multiple medical and dental specialists. The patients are seen by all the craniofacial team specialists on the same day at the hospital, so the specialists can consult with one another to coordinate their care for these patients.
I’m grateful to have such wonderful patients who trust me to care for their families, and I enjoy making my patients feel as though they are part of the Durrett Orthodontics family.
