Crowding occurs when there is not enough room for all of your teeth to fit comfortably in the space that your mouth has naturally given you. Too many teeth in a small space can cause a lot of problems, in which case braces and jaw correction is the best answer.

Underbites are when the bottom lower half of your teeth fit over the top half, and are often referred to as prognathism. This can be the result of a lower jaw that’s too large and an upper jaw that is too small.

Overbites are most common when the upper and lower teeth don’t meet, even when the mouth is closed. If you were to have an ideal bite, the upper teeth should come over the lower teeth just slightly.

Misaligned Teeth, or Spacing Issues

These kind of issues can be caused by a variety of different problems. Losing your teeth too early, can cause your permanent teeth to erupt in the wrong places. This can lead to spacing problems and eventual dental issues that must be treated quickly.

Crossbites are most commonly classified as either posterior or anterior. Across your crossbite is when the back teeth bite down on the lower teeth. It’s kind of a bite can make it difficult for the jaw to close properly, making it hard to eat or speak.
