Gentle Care and Quality Treatments
At Durrett Orthodontics, everyone is greeted with a smile! We are a small practice that limits the amount of patients we see per day so we can focus on providing quality care for each one. We know all of our patients’ names, and strive to make everyone feel at home.
As a female orthodontist and mother, Dr. Durrett can relate to parents’ concerns with regard to their son or daughter’s treatment, and she is committed to making every patient feel comfortable. Her passion for orthodontics shows in the beautiful smiles she creates!
On the first visit, Dr. Durrett will spend time with you to answer any questions or concerns. She is ethical in her treatment decisions and only recommends care when needed. Once treatment starts, Dr. Durrett is very thorough to ensure she provides the best possible care for each patient.
Our office is very progressive. We were the first in the Westchase area to incorporate the iTero® scanner into our care. This allows us to take a digital impression: a highly accurate, digital 3D image of the teeth and gums. The iTero® scanner is more comfortable since there is no goop or gagging like that associated with conventional impressions.
All of our orthodontic records are digital, including X-rays, photographs, and models, which allows us to share your records with your general dentist or other health care provider more easily. You can also access your digital records, appointment history, and payment information through our Patient Portal, a secure and HIPAA-compliant resource.
Dr. Durrett also uses Invisalign® for the treatment of teens and adults, and is experienced in treating more complex cases with Invisalign®. She is a leader in the Tampa orthodontic community for treatment with Invisalign. She has been working with Invisalign since 2000, when she assisted in the care of patients in one of the first clinical trials of Invisalign conducted by the University of Florida Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Durrett also performs advanced orthodontic care, such as surgical orthodontics and corrective jaw surgery. She is one of the few orthodontists in Tampa to work with a craniofacial center to care for patients with craniofacial abnormalities, such as cleft lip and palate.
